Concrete causeways for rural roads
27 May 2025 Three unsealed road gravel causeways will be upgraded to concrete causeways over the next two months. Gunnedah Shire Council Director Infrastructure Services Jeremy Bartlett said Trinkey Forest Road, Barwicks Road and Prairies Road would each have a new concrete causeway to improve resilience to washouts, particularly during times of flood. “Extreme weather over the past few years has shown us that washout damage at these locations can cause lengthy closures,” Mr Bartlett…
