Orange Grove Bridge Replacement

Updated 16 March, 2023

Orange Grove Bridge is now open to two-lane traffic again following successive flooding.

Please drive carefully and obey any traffic signage.

The replacement of bridge has been funded through contributions of $625,175 from the Federal Government’s Bridge Renewal Program, $469,631 from the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Bridges Program and $156,544 from Gunnedah Shire Council.

Council is experiencing compounding wet weather events and flooding with wet weather conditions forecast to continue into summer. There has been some flood damage to the OGRB approaches during recent riverine overtopping.

The timing of the flood damage is unfortunate as the bridge was only days away from commissioning.

As soon as the water level recedes Council will inspect the bridge and approaches. Any damage will be remediated as soon as possible and the bridge opened to traffic.
