  July 28, 2021 Gunnedah Shire residents and businesses will soon have improved access to high-speed broadband, with a Gunnedah project being funded through the Federal Government’s Regional Connectivity Program (RCP). Facilitated by Gunnedah Shire Council, the project will be delivered by Field Solutions Group (FSG), which secured more than $3.9 million in Commonwealth funding to improve broadband coverage across Gunnedah and surrounding villages. A new date has been set for Saturday, December 4 2021 and current councillors will continue to hold their civic offices until this time. July 1, 2021 Gunnedah Shire Council has commenced work on an upgrade to the busy Bloomfield and Henry Street pedestrian crossing, which will be relocated to improve safety and traffic flow. July 1, 2021 Last week’s visit from Animal Welfare League NSW proved to be a great success, with 99 local cats and dogs attending the Mobile Vet Truck (MVT) for veterinary services. Gunnedah Shire Council partnered with Animal Welfare League NSW to bring the MVT to Gunnedah Showground over two days, as part of the ‘Paws Up for Pet Registration’ campaign.
