New face for Council’s leadership team

Gunnedah Shire Council has welcomed Kelly Stidworthy to the role of Director Corporate Services.

The role includes the governance, information systems and communications and customer service business units of Council.

“We are delighted to have Kelly on board,” Council’s General Manager Eric Groth said.

“She comes with extensive experience in both local government and the public sector and brings with her a wealth of knowledge that will help Gunnedah Shire Council in the delivery of resources and services to our local community.

“If you see Kelly around, please give her a warm welcome to Gunnedah.”

Kelly, who has most recently worked in Armidale, said she looked forward to helping Gunnedah Shire Council grow and progress with the Gunnedah community.

“Gunnedah Shire is a thriving community with an exciting future,” she said.

“We have a good team of people in Council and we will work together to ensure we are providing the best and most innovative services possible.”

Kelly has tertiary qualifications in business and finance, and leadership and management.

Her professional experience includes time in a number of finance roles in the private and public sectors, and at a management and executive level in local government across a number of states and territories.
