Sports, Clubs and Facilities

Council manages a total of 108 hectares of sporting fields for the benefit of the Community. Major sporting fields are equipped with picnic/BBQ areas, children's play equipment, amenities blocks and lush fully grassed fields, all of which are maintained to a high standard.

Gunnedah is well recognised in the region as a town which has excellent Sporting Facilities and caters for the majority of sports with a major focus on Cricket, Rugby league, Rugby Union, Soccer, Tennis, Netball, Swimming, triathlon/athletics, AFL.

Booking a Council Sporting Facility:

Council requires all organisations to complete and submit an Agreement for Use of Council's Facilities form along with a current copy of the organisation's public liability Insurance. Please Download the Agreement Form below (and contact Gunnedah Shire Council on 02 6740 2100 whilst completing the Agreement form).
