Draft Gunnedah Smoke-free Environment Policy

Notice is hereby given of the exhibition of draft Gunnedah Smoke-free Environment Policy.

The policy aims to identify indoor and outdoor smoke-free areas regulated by the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000 as well as establish a smoke-free zone (including e-cigarettes) within a portion of the Gunnedah Central Business District. The specified area will include all of Conadilly Street between Henry Street and Tempest Street, and will incorporate the walkway to any public carpark within this area.

The draft policy will be publicly exhibited for a period of forty two (42) days from 22 February 2017 to 5 April 2017. The draft policy is viewable online under the Draft Plans & Exhibitions page and also at Council’s Administration Building, 63 Elgin Street, Gunnedah, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Any person wishing to comment on the draft policy may do so in writing, with submissions to be received by no later than 5:00pm, 5 April 2017.
