Donnelly Sports Field Lighting Upgrade

The installation of the new lighting poles at Donnelly Sports have been completed, lights have been aimed and the fields tested to confirm they achieve the minimum 100 lux lighting standard required for amateur level training of soccer, touch football and athletics. The new poles include provisions to upgrade to 200 lux level and in LED should this be desired in the future. The $770,000 project was fully-funded by Gunnedah Shire Council after the need for lighting was identified in Council’s Community Strategic Plan and the Riverine Landscape Masterplan. This is a very exciting milestone and will provide another fantastic sport facility to Gunnedah’s “already healthy assemblage”.
